Physical Characteristics

Behavior

Conservation Status

Gerbils are not considered endangered and are commonly kept as pets. They are bred in captivity for research purposes and as companion animals. However, some species of gerbils are threatened by habitat loss and hunting. Pandas, on the other hand, are classified as vulnerable by the IUCN Red List. Their population has been declining due to habitat destruction, poaching, and low reproductive rates. Conservation efforts are underway to protect pandas and their bamboo forest habitats.
