Anxiety vs. Stress
What's the Difference?
Anxiety and stress are often used interchangeably, but they are distinct experiences. Stress is a response to external pressures or demands, such as work deadlines or financial difficulties. It is a normal and temporary reaction that can motivate individuals to take action. On the other hand, anxiety is a persistent and excessive worry or fear about future events or situations, even when there is no immediate threat. It is an internal response that can be triggered by stress but can also arise without any apparent cause. While stress can be managed by addressing the underlying stressors, anxiety often requires more comprehensive strategies to alleviate its symptoms and address its root causes.
